Catherine Sloane was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1999.
She is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO with a B.A. in History. She is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School where she was a Dean's Merit Scholar. While at Brooklyn Law School, Catherine received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and the Edward V. Sparer Public Interest Law Fellowship.
Catherine previously served as in-house counsel for the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. She has been an associate of Wacks & Hartmann since 2006.
Catherine's concentration of practice includes estate and gift tax planning, the structuring and preparation of personalized wills and trusts, family partnerships and limited liability companies. Catherine assists our clients with all business matters involving corporations and other closely held businesses and professional associations including drafting commercial leases, partnership agreements, family succession plans, and the formation, sale or dissolution of businesses.
In addition, Catherine is available to assist families with other legal needs such as pre-marital agreements and post adoption services; re-adoption and filing of foreign adoptions.
Catherine is available to meet with clients in our Manhattan or Morristown offices. In addition, Catherine is available to meet with clients in Brooklyn or Queens and throughout the New York City metropolitan area.
Catherine is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and the Trust and Estate Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
